Having just qualified for the playoffs in 8th spot, last night the Telford Venom pulled off the suprise of the first round of playoff games, by beating League Chapions, Yorkshire Yaks at Ice Sheffield.

Hopefully, the team can remain focussed and finish the job on home ice on Monday and proceed to the next round.

The coach described the win as 'fantastic' and 'one of the best performances of the season'. He paid special praise to goalie Ned Gonad, who outshone is more illustrious opponent.
