The Galacticos† - Dream Season for The Galacticos, representing League IV Canada
It has been a long and fantastic season for The Galacticos, which was the first full season for this new franchise that joined at the end of Season 7. Determined to take the League IV-14 to the next level, The Galacticos went out to the market to search for foreign talent that would play a vital role in the club's success.
The regular season for The Galacticos couldn't have been any better. It was simply the dream season for the new franchise. After Season 8, The Galacticos became known for these national accomplishments:
** The top scoring team in Canada with 752 goals
- One of 3 teams in Canada (and only League IV team) to accomplish a "38 wins" and 114 points season
- Tied for 6th in Canada for fewest goals scored on with 30 goals against
The club was also recognized for the players' individual accomplishments:
* Max Akesson - #1 Point, Goal leader in Canada with 103 Goals and 239 Points
- 7 players with 100+ point seasons
The playoffs also went along as splendid as it could be. The club was undefeated throughout the whole playoffs until Game Two of the finals, where the Falcon's gave The Galacticos a scare in shootout, but managed to win the League IV-14 title.
The Galacticos will now advance up to League III, where they will surely face much tougher opponents, and it is up to debate whether they will survive around stronger competition.
Support The Galacticos on their dream season, and they would also like to wish congratulations and luck to all Canadian teams on their success and promotion!
