Omaha Blizzard† - One Third in the Books
As the one-third of the regular season finishes teams look for stability as everyone is trying to push and find their way to the top even though the season is still pretty young.
DBN Thunder lead the league with a four point lead on #2. However, as the regular season continues roster improvements may be critical down the stretch.
Top roster moves thus far:
3) DBN Thunder - Brought on three players to upgrade their roster totaling $100,000
2) Fox Warriors - Bring on nine players and spent $1,761,136
1) Omaha Blizzard- Bring on a whopping thirteen players for a total of $680,070
Top staff moves thus far:
3) Fox Warriors - two staff members for the cost of $30,000
2) Jersey Rangers - four staff members brought into the organization totaling $40,000
1) Omaha Blizzard - five total staff member hired so far for a grand total of $120,000
After all of these changes we caught up with the Omaha Blizzard GM, Jordan Holthus, and asked him, why all the changes?
"I think changes within this organization were necessary. As we can see from the teams recent performance we have moved from #19 in the league to #13."
The Blizzard are making this stretch possible with great offense and defense. They are currently riding a four game win streak in which they have achieved a league best +28 GF:GA. They have outscored opponents 41-4 while also pitching two shutouts.
The season for Division III League 14 looks very exciting!
