Royaume-Uni Woolmer Hill Wyverns† - Wyverns bounce back

Another away game for the Wyverns took them to HC Sahy traditionally something of a bogey team for them, often picking up the points through a great work ethic and superb tactical awareness. The Wyverns coaches had scratched their heads to get the forward line working better following last nights exit from the National Cup and were quietly confident.

It was something of a shock to find themselves behind early in the first with a well worked play, but quick thinking enabled an equaliser. Sadly the momentum gained from the goal was wasted when despite being shorthanded HC Sahy were able to regain the lead. That was the first SH goal the Wyverns had coughed up this seaon and the travelling support must have been fearing the worst. Another equaliser and the team headed back to the locker room at the end of the second looking visibly shaken.

Out on the ice for the third and whatever the head coach had said in the interval clearly worked. Whereas before passes went begging and shots were missed, the Wyverns emerged as a well oiled machine, putting five unanswered goals past HC Sahy and stealing the win in a convincing manner.

ADAM RANSOM, Wyverns manager, was understandably elated at the final siren, joining the team at the bench and high-fiving the players. 'I couldn't fault that third period performance,' He said, 'But it was touch and go during the first two. I think there is plenty more to be done, but well done and I hope the fans enjoyed it too.'
