The River Rats finished the season strong, and then burst through the playoffs. The team won all three rounds, losing only one game along the way. "It was magical," said Coach Mark. "Given the things we struggled through after I took over, it's amazing we did so well. Those were good teams we batteled in the playoffs, and my hat is off to all of them."

But, that was last season. That record will be hard to match, or even beat. Fans are excited, but uncertain. Players are equally uncertain, knowing that mangement is looking carefully at the roster and considering changes.

All the same there is a new excitement in town. The last owner did not do so well. The new owners started weak, creating anxious fans. But, after this season's finish, many are giving the benefit of the doubt.
