Canada Bricktown TwigStarz - Another Season Done and Dusted

28.08.19
Bricktown

The TwigStarz wrapped up a much improved campaign away to the T-Town Titans today at the Coliseum, walking away with a convincing 10-1 win, easily their most spread out offensive performance, with goals from all lines.

The recent line swap seems to be paying off, with high priced, skilled winger Bryce Liburd anchoring a nifty 'first' line, scoring leader Clinton 'Cotes' Cote dropping to centre the second line, and all the while still producing at a rapid clip.

Liburd has been at near a PPG average, and Cote although dipping, has provided solid numbers at just under 100 points for the season.

All things considered, this was a great year, with the emergence of Dalton Falconbridge and Cote as top centerman, and original member Reuben Dolson coming back into his own to centre the top line. Pieces came together, and everything seems to have fit perfectly. With the playoffs around the bend, hopes aren't quite as high as they could be, but gaining a place or two in the final standings is on the mind of the GM.

Elijah Bartle started this one, getting the required minutes to slide into the top 5 as far as Sv% goes, and and with the acquisition of Denver Caven a few weeks ago, this offseason looks to be one for rest and refreshment, as well as building chemistry, as they set up for a push in season 35, with real hopes of sliding into Div. II.

A month left of the season, and draft to come, but so far, so good. The Starz keep progressing, improving year after year, and show no signs of slowing. Season 34 was a great one indeed, and hopefully just a sign of things to come.
