The Red & Black finished last season at 12th place. They finished this season in 10th place. The team finished the playoffs in 9th place last season, truly overachieving fan expectations. And, despite a dismal start to this season, they are again fighting for 9th place in the playoff standings. The difference is this time they underachieved fan expectations.

Coach2live set goals for this season, most of which were achieved. The training facility and youth school have become much more developed. The management department is much stronger, drawing much more skilled staff members. And, along the way there have been some key player acquisitions. Very quietly, the Red & Black has been building a stronger team.

The upsides is that early goalies problems seem to have been addressed. "We went through a lot of prospects," Coach2live said at a recent press conference, "trying to find the right team of goaltenders. We think we have them now, with a nearly interchangeable starter and back up, along with a very strong developing third string keeper. We have few worries in the net, now." Also on the upside, the defense and offense is much stronger.

The downside is, while there has been a great increase in the strength of the offensive and defensive squads, the team still lacks scoring. With little scoring, fans are openly wondering if they will see another season start like the last one. So, tThe questions is, how quickly will that lack be addressed and filled.
