The Dunwich Black Blades were promoted into the 2nd tier of English Ice Hockey last night.

It took a 3 game decider in the promo/relegation round to finally bring home glory to the "Blades".

'We are so chuffed. The team has been brilliant again this year. We worked as a team amazingly well, there were times when we could have put out good numbers for our best players but we focused on the team ethic and at the very end we showed our overall quality very well.'

'It certainly was a worry for us, when on the eve of the Promo/Relegation round our Super Goaltender, Nick Moller badly injured himself in a freak training incident. All of a sudden, eyes turned towards our Rookie Goalie, Ally Marshall...

And he didn't let us down. What a great lad. He steered us to victory in game one and was unlucky in the second. And when it came to the decider he showed real character and showed somee unbelievable talent. Nick has him under his wing and Ally for sure has secured his place in our hearts as well as the team for sometime to come.

So, up we go into unknown waters.. The owners have given us funds to bolster the team somewhat, but we are very wary about how difficult it's going to be. This next season will be our third and if we can keep up there that will be a great achievement for us.

We wish all our friends and rivals in our old league the best of luck next season and we hope to lock 'blades' with you again soon, send us some friendlies!
