Tampa Bay Bepis† - Karlo Maul to the Brewers
The Seattle Brewers offseason starts off interesting with the signing of Germany's Karlo Maul. Insiders say that several other teams were also interested, but the Brewers were able to lock him down for a budget price.
Maul is an 18 year old Center who saw some action at the end of last season, where he made his rookie debut with EHC Lowen Frankfurt. Frankfurt, a division IV team, let several players go after massive amount of signings in season 17. Maul was one of the casualties in this phase.
In his rookie season, Maul did not score any goals, but did earn a fair share of assists, especially in playoffs. Still, the virgin scorer still generates concerns. Manager Seabo says this: "I'm not worried about his goals, or rather non-goals. We were very excited to bring this kid in. He is full of potential, and honestly, we think that our German friends had him in the wrong position. Look for Karlo to play a fair share of Wing this coming season."
It is true. Karlo has the capacity to make an impact in the division on day one. He comes in as the definitive "best player" on the team and is still considerably young. You will surely see Karlo Maul make an impact for the Brewers in the years to come, if not in the Brewers first full season.
