Redshift coaches are rethinking their strategy today after an embarrassing 8-2L at the hands of Ninjas Killers. It has been a long while since the franchise has suffered such a stiff defeat and were questioned on how to respond to such a loss.

"Well, our plan was to have our top guns play in the Cup Winners' Cup exclusively and have our youngsters compete in league play. However, they sent me a message loud and clear today that they aren't ready. Even our goalie a former II.4 All-Star wasn't ready today. Eight goals on 30 shots is unacceptable. There'll be changes I can promise you that. We'll be more competitive in league play from this point forward" said head coach Béla Koncz.

The Redshift were with them on the shot clock most of the game, but it seemed that every shot directed at Radosta found its way into the net.

"I have to be better. In order for Newts (Tim Newton) to focus on the Cup Winners' Cup competition I have to be better. I have to be ready to battle every game. If I'm not, then it puts a lot more stress on him and on the team" said Radosta who stopped 22 of the 30 shots directed his way.

Without a doubt it was a good thing today was a road game. Fans in Guelph would let their voices be known after today's pitiful performance.

"We will field a stronger lineup the rest of the way. I can promise our fans games like these are a thing of the past. This is not something good teams make a habit of" said canucks357.

The mood in the locker room was quite glum after the game and the only other player made available for comment was Captain Braden Debeau.

"Well, what can I say. We got out played. No. We got out classed. It's one thing to get out played. Another thing to get out worked and even worse to get out classed. We got behind early and didn't use our experience to our advantage. I didn't take charge out there as is expected of me. We shall respond Friday against Sabertooth Tigers. However, if you'll excuse me, we have the Cup Winners' Cup opener tomorrow and we must leave for Spain now. Thank you."

The Redshift will now fly to País Vasco where they will take on the Spanish club Txuribeltz Raiders. The Raiders are the group favourites and the Redshift will see in a hurry just where they stand in International Competition.
