Construction began today to improve the Midway War Memorial Arena. Section E will be improved to a Single Floor Multi-Purpose stand complete with a luxury skybox. In addition, Section A will add a team shop and a media center. The coup-de-grace will be the new scoreboard being constructed above center ice. The first of its kind in the War Memorial. But the off ice improvements may be what helps put the Intrepids over the edge. Ownership decided to upgrade the Maintenance Facilities, the HR department and the Education Department. Total costs of all the improvements are expected to exceed $31 million USD!! all the improvements are expected to be complete by mid season.
