The Raging Pigs announced today that they are without all-star goaltender Branislav Chara for most of the remainder of the season.

"There was a bit of a collision at practice this morning," began Coach Coddling. "And Branny [Chara] got the worst of it."

"They took some x-rays and saw that he'd broken some ribs... so he'll be out for awhile."

The loss is a huge one for The Raging Pigs, who had pulled back up to 7th place in II.3 after blowing out the HooHoo Fire Chickens 8-3 on Wednesday.

They are now without their starting goalie, who sports a stellar .924 save percentage and 2.12 goals against average, and a 3-star selection in 16 games (of 27 games played) this season.

The Pigs face the Salisbury North Stars tomorrow (Friday). Ladislav Petr will get the start.

"We've got a ton of confidence in Pete [Petr]," says first year rear-guard, Harry Dumont, who was sporting a newly sewn-on A on his jersey. "We all see the work that he puts in at practice and we know he'll be ready to go."
