A pleasant end to the week saw us take a big win over Ice Hawgz, moving 1-point behind them in the league standings. Backup goalie Bihunec stood on his head, stopping 42 and nearly getting the shutout until one squeaked by him at the 49th minute.

The upcoming week will be a difficult but very important one. Playing all 3 games against teams lower in the standings means we should be able to get a few points, but 2 of them are very close on our heels and are by no means guarenteed. They will all be tough games that we need to battle hard to win. Exhibition-wise, the team gets a much needed home stand as teams from around the world travel to Canada to see how hockey is played in the country that created the sport. Will be exciting.

Also to be mentioned, Vanilla Acid are planning on hosting a tournament starting in December. The Great White North Cup will include 16 teams and pay out to the top 4, so get your applications in early before it fill up!
