Hudson Black Bears General Manager Edward Darkker seemed more interested in talking about the Toronto Virgins than his own team after the visiting Virgins vanquished the Bears in an exciting 2-1 shootout on Friday.

"What a game. What a team. The Toronto Virgins are a powerhouse unit and they play powerhouse hockey. We'll take the single point, but they earned the deuce and - let's face it - they probably deserve all 3 points."

When asked about his late entry to the post game news conference and the closed door team meeting right after the game, Darkker responded; "Yeah, we seem to be having more and more of those lately. Truth is, the Virgins came into our barn and politely pointed out the holes in our line-up. I just reminded the guys that nothing is set in stone and no one's job is ultimately safe, including Coach Cyrille's or mine."

Darkker concluded by saying; "Our fans expect us to give 100% every night. They also expect us to do well in the play-offs. Once the post season starts there will be no more free rides, no more easy points, and any team in any position that thinks they can coast through the best of IV.10 will find themselves watching round 2 from the 19th hole. The Toronto Virgins are a class act among some pretty impressive teams. We better be ready if we meet them in the play-offs."
