After an impressive debut season in league III.1, the Tire Irons were plagued by managerial problems that threw the entire team into disarray. Their second season was a near write-off that came perilously close to sending them back to the minors. General Manager Nova Collision had this to say:

"The poor performance of the team is something I take full responsibility for. Despite the results we've been seeing, I believe this team is packed full of talent and the fans have nothing to worry about."

He went on further to describe the shake up in his own life that interfered with this ability to manage the team, but promised that, in the future, the team would come first.

With a new season comes a chance to see how much the team can improve with refocused leadership. Already a few new faces on the team have arrived and a few promising rookies are being tested. The Tire Irons are in particular need for young goaltending talent as their starter has become a restricted free agent and the backup will soon follow. All eyes are on the young Aydin Beaty as he is groomed to be the next star goalie for the team.
