Canada Calgary Beavers† - The Beaver Times Season 10

The team that changes their names faster then Linsey Lohan asks for another drink has done it again. The once Black Dragons, then Shawnessy Wolfpack, and late Sith Warriors have changed to the Calgary Beavers. Manager jbrady83 was interviewed about the name changes. “I think he have the team name now. I know that’s been said before, but we have gone back to stating where we are from which our fans were happy about with the Shawnessy name and used an animal that is not as common as people think, and also supports the town I grew up in, Beaver Valley. Like the team in the NHL that we look up to, the Vancouver Canucks, sometimes you have to make lots of changes until you find something that looks great.”
Interviews with players were filled with positive feedback, commenting on how the team looks more Canadian now, and that they can’t wait to see the stands filled with these new spiffy threads.
The new threads could spell a lot of new change for the team this year with top left winger Stephen Engels going to be able to test the free agent market near the end of this year. With the team not renewing Didzis Kaucēns who knows the status of Engels by the end of the year. The teams prospects are coming along, and one might be able to fill the void if the star winger leaves. Jbrady83 made comments on how he is excited about some of the younger centers coming along, Terrance Thomson, Anatoliy Saenko, and Austin Dichio should lead our team in the next couple of seasons. He did say he was a little worried as the winger prospects are not nearly as strong once you take out Max Visintin and Dominik Schmid who are 18 the top prospect is Alain Marshall and they may be looking to stock the cupboards a little more in that position.
The Beavers are also making big changes to their arena, they sold out every game last year and the first two this year and have started building the biggest stands allowed with a triple multifunctional complex that is scheduled to be done before the end of the playoffs which should help steadily climbing fan base get to enjoy more fans to share watching the Beavers play.
Come check out the new Jerseys, stands, and cheer on the Beavs tomorrow as they start their national cup challenge, and throughout the season.
