Canada Vancouver Jokers HC† - Disappointing Lose

With three unanswered goals in the second period and Vancouver Jokers goal of finishing 10th was finial destroyed but the team really lost the position over the past four games.

The team lost three out of four game down the stretch and dropped from tenth to twelve. The teams last hope is to win it's last game to claim 11th position in the final standings.

"It was a very difficult stretch run to finish out the season and we were hoping to play 500 hockey down the stretch but didn't manage to get the results that we needed." commented Bouchard. "We will need a stronger start to next season but our focus is on the last game and we expect to win. This with a little help should allow us to finish in 11th position and a better result then we expected at the start of the season." continued Bouchard.

The team doesn't expect to make any large changes heading into next season but they are expecting better results next season.

Play-offs are up next for the Vancouver Jokers but as the Jokers didn't finish in the top 8 teams with simple playing the season out in placement games.

"Placement games are hard to play as some team push in the second part of the season trying to make the top 8 to play meaningful play-off games while others don't push making the placement games wide open for teams seeded lower to upset these other teams." commented Bouchard. "While placement games matter in aspect of extra cash going into next season they are not represent of the real strength of the teams. As we are going to finish 11th or 12th, we expect to lose to an lower seeded team as we pushed to finish the season and should have put less focus on these games."
