Yesterday, the Seattle Brewers signed Milan Westman from the open market. The Brewers scored a great deal on him, as he is a young (19 yrs) and talented player.

Westman is a forward who spent his rookie season in his native country of Sweden. He played for the Bjorkekarr Avengers, where he was suited up for 10 games, of which he managed to get only a single goal. The Avengers struggled last season, finishing 5-33. Westman was collateral at the end of the season as the Avengers decided not to resign him.

After a small bidding war between the Brewers and an anonymous Canadian team, Westman decided to come to the Pacific Northwest. Here, he will likely find the success to revamp his career and make up for an unproductive rookie season. He will also get a significant pay raise to a 0.1 million dollar contract due to expire at the end of the season.
