Dunnville Mudcats - Ontario Liquor Laws
Dear Fans,
Due to recent legislation drafted by the Ontario Liquor Board, we regret to inform you of several important changes to the team's in-stadium alcohol rules. As we are currently pursuing legal avenues to counter these changes, we hope and expect that they will be temporary.
1. Limit of 5 alcoholic beverages, per person, between periods. We believe that the legal language here implies AT ONE TIME so, until further notice, multiple trips to the concession are allowable.
2. Customers must prove that they are at least 18 years of age. We believe that the legal language here INCLUDES verbal proof, which we have instructed our concession employees to accept before selling alcohol. Should an individual be too intoxicated to legally prove their age, another individual may do so for them.
3. Homemade alcohol may NO LONGER be taken into the arena. The Dunnville Mudcats organization STRONGLY DISAGREES with this new law and in protest we have set up a holding room for your alcohol so that it can be claimed and consumed after the game. Following the team's home contest this Wednesday against Chicago Blackhawks 13, we will organize an alcohol protest in the Briar Patch parking lot where we invite fans to voice their disagreement with the draconian policies of the Ontario Liquor Board and imbibe in their own locally produced alcoholic beverages before driving home.
Kindly buy tickets for you and your friends and join us in denouncing the prohibition-style antics of the repressive Ontario Liquor Board!
