Davenport Devils management have announced that they are re-locating from their home in Stockport to Huddersfield, W.Yorkshire. A name change will also take place and full re-branding at the end of the season. The team's new name, a closely-guarded secret, immediately became a matter of much speculation, with early betting suggesting that Huddersfield Hawks is the fans favourite.

In the meantime the squad are focussing on making the II.4 playoffs for the first time, with a couple of points separating several teams in the race.

Fans also paid tribute to all-star defenseman Brian Carey and RW Misko Zukic, who are both expected to retire this season. A number of mid-season squad additions have strengthened the Devils' roster as the team look to get younger next season, with winger Ossian Roche and Jose Otero, Center Alex Veenhuis, and defensemen Viktor Olsson and Lukasz Grabowski all joining the team.
