Canada Dunnville Mudcats - Name Change

(AP) Just two seasons after attempting to move the Mudcat organization to China, the club is again in the process of alteration, this time trying to change the team's name. With the soon to be completed upgrade on the club's arena, the Briar Patch, the small town Dunnville club will have nearly 10,000 seats to fill and team management is worried that the rural southern Ontario area will be insufficient. The answer, according to GM and President Paul Roedb, is to change the name of the team to the Hamilton Mudcats in hopes of widening the club's fan base. Local fans are unhappy with the proposal but were unable to prevent Roedb from submitting a formal proposal to PPM officials. Roedb was quoted in a phone conversation on the weekend as saying that local Dunnville fans should, "all go &$%# themselves".
