The Prowlers† - League rap up
The Prowlers finished in 8th this season matching their performance from last season.
The positives from this season are nearly 50 more goals scored though this may be down to the masses of goals scored against the now defunct teams in the league.
Also that we have 2 forwards in the most points and most goals table in 5th and7th place and 5th and 9th place respectively. Congratulations to Dylan Byington and Alex Morton who racked up an amazing 118 point and 25 top 3 star selections. Another rising star to be acknowledged is top right handed defence man Brian Ducie who has been a stand out performer this season. He also gets honours being placed in 7th for the top scoring defence men with only 26 PIM....the lowest of any starting defence man on the team.
Negatives are the detrimental effects of the growing staff salary bill which put a lot of strain on the managment this year. A few of the top staff members had to be let go because of rising salary demands. As manager Andy Noble says "no one is bigger than the club", as Josef Susnik and 5 others found out mid season when salary negotiations broke down. Releasing and selling these staff allowed saving to be made which have been pumped into the A Stand and wil also allow commencement of the new B stand.
